Paraguay's flag has different badges on its obverse and reverse sides. The obverse depicts the national coat of arms of Paraguay and the reverse depicts the seal of the treasury, showing a lion guarding a staff with the words Paz y Justicia (Peace and Justice) above.

Global Ministry Center
Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*. The national flags rotate weekly, and photos of them raised are sent to the church leaders of that country.

This week: Paraguay

The Church of the Nazarene officially entered Paraguay in 1980.

Paraguay had a population of 6,541,591 in 2012. That same year, Paraguay reported 28 Churches of the Nazarene, 26 of which had been officially organized. Paraguay has 656 total members.

Paraguay has three Phase 1 districts. It is a part of the South America Region. For more information, visit samnaz.org.
