BGS announces recommendations on new budget formula and proposed changes in General Board structure
Keeping the mission "to make Christlike disciples in the nations" in the forefront and looking to the future, the Board of General Superintendents voted in its meetings the week of December 1, 2008, to recommend a new budget allocation formula for the U.S.A. Church of the Nazarene. Additionally, the Board voted to recommend proposed changes in the structure of the General Board. read more

Board of Pensions adopts new approach to retirement funding
At their October 2008 meeting, the Board of Pensions and Benefits U.S.A. adopted a new approach to how Annual Pension Supplement amounts are determined. read more

Cunningham installed as APNTS president
Floyd T. Cunningham was installed as the fifth president of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary. "We are compelled to build new bridges to others, build new bridges on sure foundations, build bridges that will bring people to oneness in Christ," said Cunningham. "We are trying to discern where God already is constructing [bridges] that we may join him in his work." (Slideshow) read more

Don Lee returns to alma mater to lead Tiger football program
Olivet Nazarene University has announced that former Tiger football standout Don Lee will return to his alma mater as head football coach. Lee, who has been the head coach at Belhaven College in Mississippi, played for four seasons as a defensive end for the Tigers and was a three-year letter winner. Belhaven President Roger Parrott, who has strong ties to Olivet, was ready to take matters into his own hands (literally) to keep Lee at Belhaven. read more
