Donald Lee Messer passed away Tuesday, February 17, in Indianapolis. A missionary for 26 years, Messer was pastoring the North Vernon, Indiana, Church of the Nazarene and also served as pastor to missionaries and strategist for the Church of the Nazarene's World Mission Department. read more

NNU selects new VP for Spiritual and Leadership Development
With the approval of the Board of Trustees, Northwest Nazarene University President David Alexander named Fred Fullerton as vice president for Spiritual and Leadership Development. Assuming responsibility in April, Fullerton brings extensive leadership experience in young adult and pastoral ministries. read more

MidAmerica names Kevin Gilmore as CFO/vice president for Finance
Kevin Gilmore of Olathe, Kansas, has accepted the position of vice president for Finance and CFO at MidAmerica Nazarene University, effective immediately. He fills the role vacated by Bill Clair, who left the position February 1. read more

East Timor Nazarenes purchase first piece of church land
February 16 was an exciting day for East Timor Nazarenes. That day they purchased their first piece of land, located in Lospalos. In honor of the event, seven Nazarene leaders flew to Lospalos to sign papers and hold a small ground breaking ceremony. (Slideshow) read more

The Ganta Women's Project
When wandering through the campus of the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries/Helping Hands Africa Ganta Women's Project in Liberia, the zeal is tangible. However, the facilities at the school are multi-functional. In the morning, children fill the school. Later in the day, older learners of all ages and genders occupy the campus to take skills training courses in tailoring, baking, soap making, masonry, tie-dye, carpentry, sewing, computer, and many more.
